| Kimberlie R. Hall is of Turtle Mountain Ojibwe/German/French descent. She currently works full time at News From Indian Country, the Nations Native Journal. She has been employed there since Dec. 1, 1991. Her current job titles for the publication include Entertainment Editor, Advertising/Marketing Director and Web Editor. Plus she writes and takes photographs as well.
Besides working at News From Indian Country, she has her own photography business, KH Design and Photography. Through both avenues she goes out and shoots at conferences, festivals, pow-wows and concerts. Some of her most recent jobs included taking pictures at the 2000 Presidents Cup in Virginia; the 2001 Grammys in California; the 2001 Indy 500 in Indiana; the 2001 and 2002 Gathering of Nations in New Mexico, 2002 NAMA Awards in Wisconsin, 2001 and 2002 Indian Summer Festival in Wisconsin and the 2001 Shakopee Music Festival in Minnesota. In June 2001, she received two honorable mentions from the Native American Journalist Association for her photography. One award for photo editing and the other for the best photographer in Indian Country. She is a member of the Native American Music Association (since 1997), the Native American Journalist Association (since 1992) and the Grammys (since 2001). She has sat on the board of directors for the Native American Music Association since 1998. In 2000 to 2001 she was a segment producer for the Native American Music Awards plus presented awards each year at the show representing News From Indian Country.
